During the countdown to the newest MacHeist nanoBundle, a piece of software fell off the truck! It is no available for free. Grab it while you can! Phill Ryu said this in a forum post,
Some of you may have gotten a copy of this app off the back of a truck. I won’t point any fingers.
LateNiteSoft’s been working on this app for the past few months (you may know of them from their other space saving app, Xslimmer) and we’re proud to partner with them to help introduce and launch Squeeze.
The best part for you guys of course is you get the app completely for free. ($10 normally.) Just don’t count on it being there for too much longer.

Grab it while you can*
*Squeeze requires Mac OS X Snow Leopard to run.

At the end of the MacHeist Early Detection System countdown the meteor crashed and… nothing happened. Instead of a miniheist or an early start for MacHeist 4 we were shown a live stream of Lisa Bettany revealing 6 apps thrown together into what MacHeist is calling a nanoBundle. This small collection of software is free, and so it is worth getting. The software is mediocre, but you aren’t out any cash. The biggest disappointment is that the hype ended up being about apps instead of a puzzle, which hardcore heisters will find disheartening. The software is listed below.
ShoveBox
WriteRoom
Twitterrific
TinyGrab
Hordes of Orcs
Mariner Write

Well, we are back on track for MacHeist 4, and the teasers are already vexing MH heads around the globe! On Friday, October 30th the main page was changed to an iris and signs indicating radiation levels were being monitored. The MacHeist Early Detection System told us to check back the next day. On the 31st the system went live, the iris opened, and we had control over the direction of that window into space. At the correct coordinates the radiation levels went nuts and a countdown began. The countdown ends on Thursday, November 5th at 7pm EST. For tweeting out a message about the MHEDN you can pick up DaisyDisk Disk Visualization Software. DaisyDisk makes what are probably the most beautiful disk visuals I have ever seen. Check it out, and check back here for more MacHeist news and discussion! Podcasts will start soon!
Update: From davedelong in the forums.
Explanation: The yellow lights flash with these counts:
2628 2855
Digits only go from 0-9. However, you can’t just not flash in order to represent a 0, so the numbers are all off by 1. In other words:
1 flash = 0
2 flashes = 1
3 flashes = 2
etc
Therefore, you get this:
1517 1744
The coordinate system only accepts input with one decimal point, with each coordinate being less than 200. The logical division of the numbers is therefor: 151.7, 174.4.
Enter those coordinates and claim DaisyDisk as a prize.

MacHeist 3 is over. Done and gone. Bundle is no longer selling and it appears we won’t be getting anymore missions until MacHeist 4.
Let’s just say that puts us at a fork in the road.
We’re going to have one more episode wrapping up the last week and we’ll see where we go from there. We’ll let you all know what the plans are.
